Project Management
Synergic
UK Ltd have standardised our approach to completing project work
by engaging with customers in accordance with the guide lines
laid down in the PRINCE2 Project Management methodology.
This
approach is well established within Synergic UK and has been used
to successfully deliver IT projects large and small for over fifty
years, which is a summation of the time the directors and senior
staff have been working in the IT Industry. The clear identification
of all project deliverables and communication of responsibility
for delivery for both the customer and for Synergic is central
to our methodology. We believe this methodology provides a high
degree of flexibility in managing both pure consultancy exercises
and complex technical implementations.
Synergic
also believes that flexibility is the key to success. No two clients
have exactly the same requirements and by providing a range of
services that can be tailored and adapted to meet these needs
we can provide our clients with a solution that suits them.
PRINCE2
methodology is applied to all projects undertaken by Synergic.
The degree to which it is utilised varies with the size and scope
of each project. This enables us to provide the optimum balance
between the need to minimise risk and provide control and accountability
on the one hand; and the need to ensure that project costs do
not unnecessarily increase due to over-application of a particular
methodology on the other hand.
This
method divides projects into manageable stages enabling efficient
control of resources and regular progress monitoring through the
project. The various roles and responsibilities for managing the
project are adapted to suite the size and complexity of the project
undertaken.
Project
Accreditation
Synergic
project managers are technically skilled, having come from a technical
consultancy background. This enables them to have a detailed understanding
of the technical challenges involved with designed and implementing
complex IT solutions
All
project managers are expected to gain PRINCE2 Accredited Practitioner
status in professional project management and will have already
achieved this, or are currently working towards this accreditation
with support from Synergic.
The
Nominated Account Manager
Synergic
will provide a nominated account manager, who will be the project
manager and focal point of contact for any project, they will
be responsible to our customer for any projects life cycle. This
persons role is one of organisation and control, forming the hub
of the project, this person is responsible for the project as
a whole, for the project progress and ensuring that works are
completed correctly, on time and within project brief and budget.
Controlling
Change
Controlling
change within a project as it grows and develops ensures that
the end result remains within the original project brief. It ensures
that changes are carefully managed and that risk assessment is
carried out on an ongoing basis.
The
benefits of a structured project approach
By
following an established and yet flexible approach to project
management, Synergic is able to ensure that even the most technically
challenging and ground breaking projects are completed on time
and within budget, providing the customer with a sound technical
solution yielding the maximum return on investment. In essence,
a structured approach provides:
-
A controlled and organised start, middle and conclusion
to a project
- Regular
reviews against plan and business case.
- Flexible
decision stage points.
- Automatic
management process for the control of the project.
- The
involvement of management and stakeholders at the right time
and place throughout the project life cycle.
- Good
